§ 79. Mr. Garry Allighanasked the Minister of Health whether he will increase the grant to the Gravesend Borough Council and other similar municipal corporations in respect of the provision of day nurseries to enable these local authorities to provide more of these facilities.
§ Mr. J. EdwardsThe fact that welfare authorities may need to provide more day nurseries now than formerly is the reason why a special Exchequer grant has already been made available. My right hon. Friend regrets that this grant cannot be increased.
