HC Deb 12 March 1947 vol 434 c193W
75. Mr. Medland

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty when the promise made some six months ago to clear the site at the Central Park, Plymouth, of his Department's vehicles will be fulfilled; and, in addition, whether, in view of the acquisition by his Department of scores of bombed and cleared sites in the Devonport area, he will arrange for the stores to be removed from the park, required by the people of Plymouth, to their own land in the vicinity of the dockyard.

Mr. W. Edwards

Complete clearance of the motor vehicles in Central Park will be effected by the end of this month. The acquisition by the Admiralty of bombed and cleared sites in the Devon-port area now proceeding will not provide alternative covered storage for the storage hangar. This hangar cannot, therefore, be vacated for the present.
