HC Deb 11 March 1947 vol 434 cc166-7W
109 Mr. Osborne

asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that the reason for the Railway Clerks' Association's demand for a 35-hour week is that head office staffs only work 38 hours a week against 48 hours worked by other grades; and if he will consider removing this grievance by raising head office time to 48 hours a week.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

The answer to both parts of the Question is in the negative.
