HC Deb 04 March 1947 vol 434 c41W
83. Mr. Marples

asked the Secretary of State for War whether it is proposed to derequisition the amusement park at New Brighton in time for it to be in use as an amusement park this summer.

Mr. Bellenger

I regret that I can add little to the information given in a letter sent to the hon. Member on 18th February. About two-thirds of these premises have already been released. The remainder is occupied by surplus stores in process of disposal, some of which I am informed have in fact been sold, and only await removal by the purchasers. As soon as the stores have been cleared, the rest of the premises will he derequisitioned.
