§ 80. Mr. Wadsworthasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation why passengers travelling by B.O.A.C. via Lisbon are accommodated at Estoril and not in Lisbon, thus becoming involved in an unnecessary journey of 50 miles in obsolete transport.
§ Mr. LindgrenAt Lisbon, as at other ports of call, it is essential that hotel accommodation for transit passengers should be guaranteed. Estoril provides not only suitable accommodation and amenities, but is the only place where they can be secured on a guaranteed regular basis. The transport which is used for this purpose is out of date, but it will be brought up to date as soon as conditions of supply allow.
