§ 56. Mr. Spenceasked the Minister of Food if he will give details of the carrying and forwarding charges negotiated by His Majesty's Government under Section 2 (d) of the Canadian Wheat Agreement to the various ports of shipment.
§ Mr. StracheyI have agreed with the Canadian Wheat Board to pay the current market rate for carrying all wheat applied against the contract for the period from 1st August, 1946, to 30th September, 1946, and an overall charge of 3½ cents per bushel for carrying wheat so applied during the year from 1st October, 1946, to 30th September, 1947. As for forwarding charges, I have agreed to pay the fixed official rate for each parcel according to the route over which it is moved.
