§ 130. Mr. Sorensen
asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider having the barbed wire around prisoner of war camps removed and also the large sized lettering frequently painted or stamped on prisoner of war clothing.
§ Mr. Bellenger
It has already been decided that in working camps the wire should be replaced by a token perimeter fence; this is still necessary to mark the limits of the camp and to discourage the entry of unauthorised persons. I am considering174W the question of the distinguishing marks on prisoners' clothing.
