§ Sir S. CrippsCloths of the type to which the hon. and gallant Member refers are produced by very few firms, and output, therefore, is determined by the number of workers which these firms are able to secure. The Wool Control are well aware of the importance of these cloths to the home market and have been making every effort to secure more production. Although the results may not be felt for some time, the programme of production of these cloths for the present period (November, 1946, to February, 1947) is about 40 per cent. greater than for the previous period.
