§ Mr. H. Stewartasked the Minister of Supply if he is aware of the lengthy delays in the delivery of small trade vans from the motor car manufacturers in this country and the serious effects upon trade this is causing; what action he is taking to expedite supplies for the home market; and when traders may expect to receive deliveries.
§ Mr. WilmotYes, Sir; there is a long interval between order and delivery of all motor vehicles. While the output of light vans is steadily improving, it will be some time before supply overtakes demand. In the allocation of steel to the motor industry a measure of preferential treatment has been given to manufacturers of commercial vehicles.
