§ Mr. J. HyndFor the period 6th January to 2nd February of this year, the weighted average of rations—including those of normal consumers, heavy workers, nursing mothers and other special classes is about 1,750 calories per day. This figure excludes the extra rations of children attending school in certain areas who receive a supplementary meal, assessed at 300 calories daily up to 12 years and 490 calories daily over 12 years of age.
