HC Deb 21 January 1947 vol 432 c33W
Lieut.-Commander Hutchison

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will now allow men who opted for service in coal-mining and who, after being discharged for medical reasons were subsequently called up for military service, to count the time spent in the mines in computing their period of compulsory service in the Forces.

Mr. Isaacs

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave today to the hon. and learned Member for Daventry (Mr. Manningham-Buller), a copy of which I am sending him.
