asked the Minister of Education what proportions of teachers in training are being prepared for secondary teaching as against primary school teaching; and whether he is taking care not to allow the raising of the school-leaving age to cause an undue bias in favour of training for teaching in secondary schools.

On the first part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given by my predecessor on 21st November last to the hon. Member for West Leyton (Mr. Sorensen). The answer to the second part is "Yes."
