HC Deb 20 February 1947 vol 433 c214W
112. Mr. Garry Allighan

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will consider appointing a committee, or taking some other appropriate action, to inquire into the working of the various Burial Acts, and to report on the entire burial system.

Mr. Ede

I understand that my hon. Friend is mainly interested in burial charges. My responsibilities in that matter are very limited, but if he will let me know what points he has in mind I shall be happy to consider them in consultation with such of my colleagues as may be concerned.
