§ 83. Sir J. Lucas
asked the President of the Board of Trade for what period it is necessary for an ex-alien company director who has changed his name to print his former name and nationality under his new name; and if he will consider establishing a register of company directors who have changed their names to be made available to the public at Somerset House in order that the real control of companies may more easily be determined.
§ Mr. Belcher
The obligation to disclose the information referred to in the first part of the Question was imposed by Section150W 145 of the Companies Act, 1929, on all companies registered since 23rd November, 1916, and continues throughout the existence of the company unless it is expressly exempted by Order of the Board of Trade under the section. The annual return which every company is required to file with the Registrar of Companies includes full information on the matters in question. The return is open to public inspection on the company's file at the Companies Registration Office at Bush House, Kingsway, W.C.1.
