HC Deb 13 February 1947 vol 433 c82W
72. Mr. Kirkwood

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will now make a statement on the Anglo-Soviet trade negotiations; and, in view of the fact that the U.S.S.R. needs machinery which Clydeside can produce and that Clydeside badly needs timber from U.S.S.R., if he will take steps to expedite an agreement to the mutual advantage of both countries.

Sir S. Cripps

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on 4th February to the hon. Member for Cheltenham (Mr. Lipson).
