§ 95. Mr. Dribergasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if, in view of the details forwarded to him by the hon. Member for Maldon of the preparations made for a dance, held recently by the 8th Destroyer Flotilla, Hong 73W Kong, he is satisfied that there is no redundant manpower at this station; and if he will, in this connection, examine the possibility of using R.N. personnel for duties at present performed by the Army and so assist towards the release of some of those whose demobilisation has been delayed.
§ Mr. J. DugdaleIn the short time available it has not been possible to obtain a report from the Commander-in-Chief at Hong Kong upon the matter raised. Inquiries are being made and I will inform my hon. Friend as soon as a reply has been received.
