asked the Secretary of State for War whether, having regard to the evidence recently given in court by the defendants in the action of Rocke v. Connor and Cundlipp, he is now satisfied that Colonel Rocke was not a paid propagandist of the Italians; and whether Colonel Rocke is now in receipt of his retired pay.

In answer to the first part of the Question, no evidence was given, but the hon. and gallant Member is referred to the statement made in court in the settlement of the action referred to. His Majesty's Government do not dispute34W the accuracy of that statement. As regards the second part of the Question, the answer is in the affirmative.
