§ 71. Sir P. Hannonasked the President of the Board of Trade if a survey can be 228W made of stocks of timber throughout the country which can be made available for house building; if he is aware that wagons laden with timber have for long periods been awaiting discharge at certain railway stations; and if he will make a statement on the immediate timber requirements of approved housing schemes.
§ Mr. BelcherStocks of softwood which is normally used for building purposes, are published in the "Monthly Digest of Statistics." I am not aware of any long delays in unloading timber wagons but if the hon. Member will supply particulars of any case I will investigate it. As regards the last part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on 27th November by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health to the hon. Member for Huntingdon (Mr. Renton).
§ 77. Lieut.-Colonel Liptonasked the President of the Board of Trade, when he will deal with the complaint of Messrs. A. J. Philcox and Company Limited, of Stockwell Road, S.W.9, regarding timber quotas, details of which were forwarded on 27th October last.
