§ 69. Mr. D. Marshallasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the acute shortage of baby carriages caused by the manufacturers having no steel; and what action does he propose to take in this matter.
§ Mr. BelcherNo. Enough steel is being allocated to this industry to maintain the level of supply to the home market which has ruled throughout the year, and I am informed that it is now exceptional for a mother to be unable to get a baby carriage for her child.
