§ 9. Mr. Platts-Millsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has entered into negotiations to conclude cultural conventions with other countries, similar to that recently arrived at with the Czechoslovak Government; and with what countries.
Mr. McNeilHis Majesty's Government have concluded cultural conventions, similar to that arrived at with the Czechoslovak Government, with the Governments of Belgium and Brazil. Negotiations are proceeding with the Governments of the Netherlands, Norway, France and Italy. As regards the conclusion of cultural conventions with countries of Eastern Europe, His Majesty's Government would be prepared to give full consideration to any requests which might be received from the Governments of these countries.
