HC Deb 04 December 1947 vol 445 c91W
69. Sir G. Fox

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations whether he will be able to arrange accommodation at educational establishments for the 600 competitors in the Olympic Sports at Henley in August, 1948, since no ordinary accommodation is available.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

I have discussed the question of housing the Olympic teams for the rowing and canoe events at Henley with representatives of the Committee which is organising the Games. They have every hope that they will secure adequate and suitable accommodation, and that final arrangements will be made without delay.
