§ 5. Brigadier Petoasked the Minister of Education whether, in order to encourage students to spend their summer vacation helping the national effort to recovery, he will waive the condition that any improvement in the financial situation of ex-Servicemen students who are recipients of further educational and training grants must be reported to his Department and that an adjustment of the grant will follow in consequence.
§ Mr. HardmanIt will not be possible to dispense altogether with the statement of improved financial circumstances which is at present required from students; but the question of earned income is under active consideration by the Departments concerned and I hope that an announcement will be possible after Easter.
