§ Mr. Yorkasked the President of the Board of Trade what percentage of the total imports of raw materials, other than food, came from dollar countries in 1946; what is the percentage to which he is working for 1947; and what is the volume and cost in dollars of these proportions.
§ Mr. DaltonI have been asked to reply. Twenty per cent. of our raw material imports in 1946 came from U.S.A. and Canada at a cost of 275 million dollars. The proportion in 1947 will be higher, and the cost may be around 500 million dollars.
