Mr. Price-Whiteasked the President of the Board of Trade what is the number of new factories and other industrial installations established in the county of Caernarvon between 1st September, 1939, and 1st March, 1947; and what were the respective numbers of males and females employed therein on 31st December, 1945, 31st December, 1946, and 1st March, 1947, respectively.

CrippsThe total number of new industrial undertakings established in the county of Caernarvon between 1st September, 1939, and 1st March, 1947, is nine, of which two are in new factory premises erected during the period. The remaining seven have established themselves in existing premises. In addition, there are 17 new industrial undertakings in process of being established in the county of Caernarvon. Information in regard to the employment provided by these undertakings on the dates specified by the hon. Member is not immediately available, but I will write to him as soon as it has been obtained.
