HC Deb 31 October 1946 vol 428 cc150-1W
Major Bruce

asked the Attorney-General (1) whether the interrogatories submitted on behalf of the following defendants at the Nuremberg trials to the British nationals mentioned were returned answered, that is to say those submitted by Ribbentrop to Lord Beaverbrook, Lord Kemsley, Lord Londonderry and Lord Vansittart, by Goering to Sir George Ogilvie Forbes and Lord Halifax, by Von Neurath to Lord Halifax; and whether he will indicate which of the returned interrogatories were incorporated in the court's proceedings;

(2) the names of those British nationals who were requested by the defence at the recent Nuremberg trials to give evidence and who were not approved by the tribunal to be heard in open court.

The Attorney-General

All the interrogatories referred to by my hon. and gallant Friend were answered. Owing to the transit of documents and records from Nuremberg and the dispersal of the personnel of the Tribunal, the further particulars asked for are not immediately available. I will, however, communicate with my hon. and gallant Friend as soon as they can be obtained.
