asked the Minister of Food if His Majesty's Government are still importing wine; and when a free wine trade is to be restored.

Only Italian and Algerian wines are being imported at present on Government account and these form a relatively small fraction of the total imports, the great bulk of which is being imported by the trade with the agreement of the Ministry as to quantity and price.
