HC Deb 24 October 1946 vol 428 cc15-6W
91. Mr. Logan

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if his attention has been called to the collapse of buildings in Liverpool accompanied by loss of life; and what action does he intend to take to assist the Liverpool authorities to obviate this danger to life by bomb-damaged buildings.

Mr. Oliver

Yes, Sir. My right hon. Friend is satisfied that all possible steps are taken by the city authorities to demolish war damaged buildings, of which they have already demolished some 11,000 as against 15 cases of collapsed buildings. If the authorities of the city desire to consult him on the subject he will be happy to meet them for that purpose.
