HC Deb 24 October 1946 vol 428 c9W
67. Brigadier Low

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that a number of ex-Service men and women have been discharged from employment as clerks in Government Departments after only two months' probation; and whether he is satisfied that these men and women have been given sufficient chances to prove themselves in Government Departments.

Mr. Glenvil Hall

This is primarily a departmental matter, and I suggest that any case which the hon. and gallant Member has in mind should be taken up with the Department concerned.
