§ 140. Sir P. Macdonaldasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether in view of the considerable potentialities for increasing the production of ground nuts in the Colonial Empire to the mutual advantage of the colonies and this country, he will arrange for the early publication of the report of the Commission of Inquiry which went to East Africa to investigate the possibilities of large-scale production of ground nuts in Tanganyika and Northern Rhodesia, so that the information will be available to all concerned.
Mr. Creech JonesHis Majesty's Government are actively considering the action to be taken on the report of the East African Groundnut Mission and I hope that a statement will be made at an early date. In this connection His Majesty's Government will bear in mind the desirability of publishing the material made available by the Mission's investigation.
