HC Deb 21 October 1946 vol 427 c307W
Mr. J. P. L. Thomas

asked the Secre-tary of State for Air when his Department intend to vacate the R.A.F. station at Madley in Herefordshire, as the accommodation is urgently needed for housing local inhabitants.

Mr. de Freitas

The Royal Air Force have already left part of this station. We expect to be out of the rest by the end of the year. Part of the station has already been offered, and the remainder will shortly be offered, to other Government Departments for purposes which include housing.
