§ Mr. J. HyndUnauthorised absenteeism in September, 1946, was 2.2 per cent., as against 2.6 per cent. in March, 1946. The total of absenteeism from all causes was 23.9 per cent. in September, 1946, compared with 22.5 per cent. in March, 1946, comprising: sickness, 10 per cent. in September against 10.2 per cent. in March; accidents, 2.9 per cent. in September against 2.6 per cent, in March; contracted holidays, 6.1 per cent. in September against 3.9 in March; authorised absences, 2.7 per cent. in September against 3.2148W per cent. in March, together with unauthorised absences, as I have already indicated.
