§ Major Beamish
asked the Minister of Food whether he is aware that, in spite of the special advance of three 1bs. of sugar per hive of bees, made in June, being 63W treated as a supplementary issue, beekeepers feel that the five lbs. allowance for the spring is inadequate; and, in view of the importance of beekeeping, whether he will increase this allowance.
§ Mr. Strachey
Yes, Sir. Beekeepers have already been notified that they may apply for a quantity of sugar up to 10 lbs. per colony in addition to the customary allowance of 15 lbs. per colony for winter and spring feeding.
