§ 109. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Attorney-General whether, in view of the action of the Court of Appeal on 10th November, 1946, in the case of Royston versus Cavey, in declining for want of jurisdiction to hear the appeal of a subject who had been injured in a Government factory because the action was brought against a nominated defendant, he will introduce legislation to permit actions of tort against the Crown.
The Solicitor-GeneralI would refer my hon. and learned Friend to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Sutton Cold-field (Sir J. Mellor) on 19th November.
