§ 96. Mr. Piratinasked the Minister of Health when the new Rent Restriction Act will be introduced, in view of the fact that the 1939 Rent Restriction Act is due to lapse six months after the end of the war.
§ Mr. BevanI cannot say at present, but the Act of 1939 will remain in force until six months after such date as His Majesty may by Order in Council declare to be the date on which the emergency that was the occasion of the passing of the Act came to an end. There is no immediate intention to make such an Order.
