§ Mr. BarnesSurveys are at present being conducted to determine what modifications are desirable in the routes of trunk roads, and the necessary orders establishing new lines will be made as soon as the provisions of Section 1 of the Trunk Roads Act, 1946, can be brought into effect. In the meantime, my divisional officers maintain close contact with the regional planning officer of the Minister of Town and Country Planning and with local planning authorities. I am not aware of any cases where planning schemes are being held up by lack of information; but if the hon. Member has any particular case in mind, I shall be happy to look into it.
