asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will make a statement about the recent damage caused by mines to our ships in the Corfu Channel.

Mr. Dugdale

The damage caused to both H.M.S. "Volage" and H.M.S. "Saumarez" in the recent incident was severe, but I am not in a position to make a statement until the technical reports have been fully considerd.
