HC Deb 05 November 1946 vol 428 c230W
Mr. D. Jones

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has considered the representations that have been made to him by a number of representative organisations respecting the sentence passed on Doctor A. Nunn May, calling for clemency; and what steps he proposes to take to reduce the sentence.

Mr. Ede

I have considered the representations to which my hon. Friend refers, but I can find no sufficient ground to justify me in recommending any interference with the sentence which the court thought fit to impose.
