§ Major J. Morrisonasked the Minister of Education whether the inadmissibility of maintenance aid for children winning university scholarships when a parent has an income of over£1,500 a year is to apply indiscriminately and without consideration of the number of children in the family.
§ Miss WilkinsonNo, Sir. In fixing the amount which a parent is expected to contribute, allowances are made from the gross amount of his income in respect of other dependent children and their educational expenses, dependent relatives, mortgage interest and certain other liabilities.
