asked the Minister of Health how many men and women are employed by his Department in health services; how many of those employees are temporary; and how many possess medical degrees.

Mr. Bevan:

The number of men and women employed in health services in my Department is 304 men and 237 women, of whom 74 and 103 respectively are temporary. One hundred and twelve men and seven women possess medical degrees. These figures do not include hospital staff enrolled in the emergency medical services.
