§ Major McCallumasked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he will give instructions for the grammar school in Campbeltown, which was requisitioned by the Admiralty in 1940 and vacated in January, 1946, to be reinstated in its former condition without any further delay, as these premises are urgently re quired by the local authority for educational purposes.
Mr. Dugģdale:This school will not be entirely free until the end of this month and arrangements have already been made with the Argyll County Council for derequisition to take place early in April. The Admiralty is responsible under the Compensation (Defence) Act, 1939, for the payment of compensation to the county council, but it is for the county council to arrange for the work of reinstatement.
