§ Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Agriculture what are the regulations with regard to the use of anaesthetics in the dehorning of adult cattle.
§ Mr. T. Williams:The Animals (Anaesthetics) Act, 1919, prescribes that bovine animals of over one month old shall not be de-horned unless during the whole of the operation they are under the influence of some general aneasthetic or some local anaesthetic of sufficient power in either case to prevent them feeling pain.
