Every effort is being made to supply as many fresh items of food in the ration scale as possible and to increase the variety of the diet. Practically no fresh supplies are available in Malay? from local resources, but arrangements have been made to import from the Southern Dominions such items as fresh potatoes, fresh vegetables, fresh butter and bacon. The first consignment of192W potatoes and vegetables should by now have reached Singapore.
