§ Mr. BurkeStaff is not normally assigned wholly or principally to the detection of owners of wireless receiving sets who possess no current licences; this work is usually provided for by the temporary withdrawal for a few weeks of local staff from their ordinary Post Office duties. During the past 12 months the expenditure in wages and salaries attributable to this work was about £7,500.
