§ 173. Mr. Byersasked the Minister of Education what arrangements have been made for providing facilities to meet the 236W increased demands for school dinners as a result of bread rationing, which will make it difficult for schoolchildren to be supplied by their parents with sandwich lunches.
§ Mr. HardmanThe school meals programme has high priority and no effort will be spared to accelerate the provision of facilities. Local education authorities will, I feel sure, do all they can to meet any increased demands without impairing the quality of the service.
