§ Major Digby
asked the Minister of Labour if he will reconsider the case of Mr. A. M. Parsons, of 1, Weymouth Avenue, Dorchester, details of which have been brought to his notice, whose application for deferment to continue his studies has been refused, despite the fact that, owing to illness, he was prevented from applying for admission to Cambridge University in the autumn of 1944, when he would have qualified for deferment at the standard then prevailing, and having regard to the fact that he now holds an open scholarship for Peterhouse College, and a county senior scholarship.210W
§ Mr. Isaacs
Further consideration has been given to the case referred to by the hon. Member. I regret that I cannot vary my previous decision.
