§ 119. Major Ramsayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland why his Department is adhering to its decision to take over Stracathro aerodrome, Angus, for the purpose of establishing a land settlement there, in view of the fact that there is not an adequate supply of water and that the land is in any case of poor arable quality and a considerable distance from any civilised amenities.
§ Mr. WestwoodNo decision has been taken to use Stracathro airfield for land settlement purposes. The greater part of the airfield is owned by the Air Ministry and pending a decision as to its disposal the local agricultural executive committee have been making temporary arrangements for its use.
