§ Mr. J. GriffithsThere must always be a number of claims to family allowances outstanding since new claims were, up to a recent date, being received at the rate of nearly 10,000 a week. Special efforts are being made to clear as quickly as possible claims which have been held up for any length of time on account of the necessity for detailed investigation.
