I understand from the Appointments Board for Teachers in England and Wales, which is conducted by the National Union of Teachers in conjunction with the Association of Education Committees, that on 6th December there were on their books 123 men and 35 women teachers. These figures, of course, vary from day to day as demands are quickly met.
