Mr. D. J. Williams

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power how many boys between 14 and 18 years of age entered the mines in South Wales in each month of this year; and if he will give the comparable figures for 1945.

The monthly figures for boys under 18 entering the coal-mining industry are provisional in character and are only finalised at the end of each quarter. The numbers set out below are accordingly given on a quarterly basis:
