Smithasked the Lord President of the Council if he will, when considering the desirability of an inquiry into the organisation of the Press, take special notice of the harsh action of Thomson-Leng, the publishers of Dundee papers, who have recently taken away the livelihood of an agent because he observed the V-Day holiday as requested by His Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. H. MorrisonI have seen a circular issued about this matter by the National Federation of Retail Newsagents, Booksellers and Stationers, but I have, of course, not heard the other side of the case. I have, however, taken note of the view expressed by my hon. Friend.
